Publisher's Summary

Nutrition is essential to living a healthy, happy, and successful life. Yet a world of misconceptions and promises of easy results too often stands in our way - and can even be harmful to our overall health.

The key is to cut through the noise and find the medically backed, statistically proven information about healthy eating and living. These 36 in-depth lectures explore the fundamentals of good nutrition and offer a practical guide for applying these fundamentals to your lifestyle. The power of nutrition lies not just in grasping the concepts behind it, but also in applying those concepts to daily living. This means learning where to find authoritative nutrition information, mastering the science behind nutrients and the body, recognizing what your personal daily requirements of each nutrient should be, building a distinct exercise regimen, and more.

A dietitian and award-winning lecturer, Professor Anding gives you a wealth of invaluable tips you can easily apply to your own eating habits. You'll learn how to calculate your own dietary needs, how to create your own nutrition and exercise plans, how to recognize when a product or service is really a health fraud, and more.

Crafted with the needs of individual people in mind, this course is both a fascinating learning experience and the perfect investment in your personal health - one that will educate you, motivate you, and reward you for the rest of your life.

informative for all audiences

As a pharmacist i enjoyed listening to this audiobook to and from work. It covered a broad range of topics in the field of nutrition which is overlooked in many health professions, including pharmacy.
On the other hand it wasn't overly technical and i was able to focus in on it whilst driving.
i would highly recommend it to health professionals and people who would like to learn more about nutrition

Good introduction to nutrition.

I found this course to be useful in acquiring some fundamentals when it comes to basic nutrition but I did feel that much of the content is a little dated. Though I have nothing but respect for professor Anding and her credentials I do feel that there was a fair bit of towing the main stream nutritional line, when it comes to cronic diseases and there prevention. As a recently converted vegetarian I think the link between cronic disease and consumption of animal products could have been more strongly emphesised. (I realise that this view reflects my own bias). I found the content informative and interesting. The delivery of the content was lecture like so don't expect too much pazaz but it certainly isn't dull or boring.
All and all congratulations on a good course I would recommend to anyone wanting to expand there general knowlage around mainstream nutritional theories.

Informative, thorough, clear

Great read. covers all the basics of nutrition in a logical sequence. Enough extra more in depth info too to keep this interesting. Having 30 min chapters was a good length.

Awesome information.

Great info. Tickets all the boxes. Easy to listen to. The only thing I wish to address is all the measurements are given in imperial system. It would have been great if another version can be released with metric system.
