Publisher's Summary
Made for those who find themselves drowning in clutter, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo is a must-listen. What makes this book special is that it delivers a whole new approach called the KonMari method for decluttering, arranging, and storing items at home. Author Marie Kondo is a Japanese cleaning expert who takes organizing and tidying seriously. Unlike regular cleaning books where it's recommended to tackle clutter on a room-by-room basis, Kondo's self-developed and self-dubbed KonMari method deals with clutter using a category scheme. And it's effective, according to the author, as so far none of her clients have relapsed. The power of her method also speaks volumes as currently she's on a three-month wait list.
Guiding listeners all the way, the KonMari Method helps tidiers find items that "spark joy" in their lives. These "joy-sparking" items are to be kept while the rest are let go. An international best seller, this book will help listeners clear all of the clutter they have. It can even help them find magic and, most importantly, peace of mind in having tidy homes.

very succinct summary
this summary of the book is broken down logically into easy to understand points that the listener/reader can apply right away.
sometimes for reminders I listen to this one while tidying instead of Kon Mari's speech on the internet to save mobile data. it has the same effect on me as she did the first time I heard about the book, and that's what we should all be looking for in a summary.

narrator speaks painfully slowly
the only way I was able to get through this was by listening to it on 1.5x speed as the narrator speaks excruciatingly slowly and enunciates as if she's explaining the book to a 3 year old.

Isn't the real book
They discuss the content but I'm angry I thought I was paying to hear the actual book read
