Publisher's Summary

With Flexible Dieting & IIFYM, you can finally lose unwanted weight and belly fat while eating all of your favorite foods! Anyone can start a diet, but not stopping it is the hard part. Flexible dieting is without a doubt one of, if not the, most sustainable diet for people because it allows you to fulfill your cravings.

A sustainable diet is one that will give you long term results. You've made it to late afternoon and it's about time you were eating again, your fourth meal for the day. What is it? A cup of rice, green vegetables, and a grilled chicken breast? Sounds a bit boring doesn't it and it becomes even more so when every meal of every day follows the same old bland routine. It's easy to see why people fall off of diets that they start with the best intentions. They are either boring and bland or contain so few calories and restrict you so much that you are constantly hungry. That's where flexible dieting comes into play.

Otherwise known as IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros), flexible dieting has taken the bodybuilding world by storm, but you don't need to be a bodybuilder to take advantage of the huge benefits that IIFYM can provide. It is based firmly on the principle of "calories in, calories out" and that means, if you do it right, no matter what your food choices you will not gain weight so long as you are reasonably sensible and you do not exceed your caloric requirement for the day. If you are into fitness as well, then IIFYM goes even further by dealing in macronutrients needed to burn fat and build muscle. Flexible Dieting & IIFYM is still unknown to a large population of people, but once you discover it, It will change your life! IIFYM is a simple diet that will guarantee you results, whether it is weight loss or putting on muscle.

Much Better Choices Available

This book was highly repetitive from chapter to chapter making it difficult to maintain interest. While macros are important to IIFYM, so to is Fiber and calorie count to flexible dieting. The 5 point approach adds an extra degree of flexibility not available with the IIFYM only approach. Had I known it had this bias I would not have made this purchase. As I said in the title, there are much better books available on both topics. The narration was also dry, somewhat monotone making it difficult for listening.

WISDOM WE CAN USE!

This is such a practical book to dieting and getting or staying in shape. With all the dieting books out there that have you limit yourself to one food group or it is so restrictive that it would be impossible for you to stay on it for any length of time. Watching your weight and exercise should be a life-long endeavor to stay healthy and strong.

Finally a diet book that doesn't make you starve!

Any additional comments?

This book busts the biggest myths about diets, The author begins the book by saying that you can eat what you love and still achieve your health goals. This is such a refreshing change as compared to books that keep telling the readers what not to eat!I particularly liked the mobile apps suggested in the book to track what nutrients go into our diet. I've started following the simple tips recommended by. Overall, a practical guide that lets people enjoy their food.

Naturally loose weight and this is awesome....

Most other diets make food appear to be your enemy so that you feel like you hate it and not wanting to eat it. The fact is that food is not your enemy. You need it to maintain your health and to survive. This book doesn't teach you to hate food, and instead, to naturally loose weight.

Good beginner knowledge

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This gives you a good idea of where to start. It isn't going to suffice through a full transformation, but it lays good building blocks for a solid foundation. Good quick read.

Any additional comments?

This was a great and simple way of explaining a flexible diet. Straight forward, no fluff. I read it in under an hour. My only constructive criticism is that there a quite a many typos.

What made the experience of listening to Flexible Dieting & IIFYM: If It Fits Your Macros Beginner's Guide the most enjoyable?

Dieting may have this negative connotation to many and this is the reason why it can fail. With the very attractive subtitle, how can I resist not downloading this book? Of course, I want to lose weight and of course I still love to eat. Flexible Diet! The culprits really are overeating and overindulgence. A nice quick reference guide

I really like Dexter Jackson as a writer and so obviously the bit I enjoyed the most was the personal experiences from here, the diaries and her little hints and tips! I also like the fact that the book is laid out so clearly, it makes it easy to flip to the section you want to look at, I've already found myself jumping back to a couple of bits for a spot of re-reading. Kate has also written a Flexible Dieting book and I'm definitely considering getting this but I want to establish how the eating plan works first. Like I say this was a quick read and so even if you're considering changing the way you eat and not sure if this is the plan for you, I'd recommend giving this a read!

Overall, this is a quick read on IIFYM and helpful for beginners like me.
