Publisher's Summary

Praed's first book, Multiple Sclerosis Q & A: Reassuring Answers to Frequently Asked Questions, was a best seller on Amazon. My Freedom from Abuse was developed to help women prepare an escape plan that will allow them to successfully escape their abusers and to give abused women the tools to help them recover.

A few of the audiobook's helpful chapters include:

  • A List of Possible Abusive Behaviors
  • Surviving Severe Abuse
  • Protecting Yourself is Part of the Healing Process
  • Should I Leave or Should I Stay
  • Techniques to Speed You on the Road to Recovery

Also included is discussion of a current hot topic in the courts - "Parental Alienation Syndrome" - and how your abuser might try to use it against you.

According to Praed: No one deserves to be treated in the way you have been treated. You may think that you are the only one who has gone through the experience, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a way out. You can be free and this audiobook will help you get there.

Critic Reviews

"No other book is as clear about what abuse means—There are a number of titles on domestic violence on the market, but no other book is as clear (or as direct) about what abuse means and what possibilities (and responsibilities!) lie in real freedom. Those ready to listen and understand will find Domestic Violence: My Freedom from Abuse a powerful tool for recovery and change, providing the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." very christian approach. interesting personal acco

interesting personal stories of abuse. helpful examination of legal and child protection systems. BUT research proves that when a woman leaves her abuser, the time period immediately following that is when she and/or her children are most likely to be killed by her abuser. I don't think this book talks about thar even once. That is troubling.
