Publisher's Summary

Julian

I've come to understand that I'll always find her. She's my North Star, my sense of direction. In her I've found my home. She tells me I saved her. But the truth is she saved me.

But nothing good can ever last. Andra's keeping secrets. She's holding something back. I'm trying desperately to anchor her. To let me in, to let me help.

But will all my efforts end up with a ghost of a girl I love?

Andra

I'm used to disappearing. Vanishing into thin air, without a trace of who I've been or where I've gone.

But it's so much harder to do with a broken heart and no hope for a happy ending. Sometimes the only people who can put all the pieces of us back together are the ones we least expect to. That's what Julian did for me.

Julian found me. But now, all Six wants is to keep me locked up, away from the world, away from the Monster. I can't live like that. It's not living at all. Because I still have unfinished business.

And I'm going to make sure the Monster gets what's coming to him.

It's over a already?

The only complaint I can possibly have for this book is that it was over so quick. I wanted it to take up days of my life but one day and done it just too short.

I absolutely love this author's ability to write these amazing words like it's nothing. The anchor and the star, so poignant to me. Although this is a romance it is completely tasteful and although there are aspects of abuse and violence, it is not focused on. What is focused on is the strength of Cora. The strength of love. The mystery and suspense was executed perfectly. And although this is a series, you aren't left with these huge cliffhangers that leave you feeling unsatisfied.

Just loved it.

The female narrator is brilliant again in this sequel. I did not care for the male narrator, not enough emotion... Kind of monotone.

good

It was a great book, but the ending was a little rushed. Also the epilogue was a let down it.

An awesome conclusion!

The twists in the story are killer! I first fell in love with Whitney Barbetti's writing with the prequel to this book. I loved the story so much, I couldn't wait to see what she might come up with for the characters. I was both surprised and impressed by the events in this book. Juliandra! Mira is one of my favorites in the book and I hope to hear her story some day soon.

I have to admit, I was shocked to hear the voice chosen for Julian. I think the performance was incredible, but his voice was wrong. At least to me. It was way too deep and harsh. Not at all what I expected, or how I envisioned Julian's voice. I even laughed out loud when he started talking. I was so surprised. lol. But definitely another awesome audiobook!!

Good Listen, Dark Topics

Although the WHY confuses me, both books are overall good. If you haven't read "He Found Me", do not read this book, it's not a stand alone. It was a recommended for me book by Audible, the first book wasn't mentioned).
Another review mentioned the male narrators voice, I have to agree that it is a shock. It doesn't match what's in my mind after "meeting" him in the first book, He Found Me. The man has a good voice and did a good job, I just think of a quiet, soft spoken voice For Julian.

Retribution

I LOVED that this book had two different narrators for parts if the book, I thought they were both perfect.

This book is a waiting game. You learn more about the characters than you see action. But, the wait is good. Definitely not a whole lot of happy going on. The character's thought process, hopes, fears, FEELINGS are so well portrayed that you just get suckered into the story.

Happy with the way the book ended but, there were a few loose ends, hopefully meaning more to the series!

I lived the story! 4 stars because of the cussing

I loved this story! I think the first one really set this one up and I am kind of hoping that there is a third one where Andra and Julian figure out what their life looks like afterward. I feel lile there are a few loose ends still.

Great Story

Was a great Series. Loved the suspense. only thing I didn't care for and found myself fast forwarding through is every tiny little detailed description of the body reactions and feel. Became redundant and boring, just wanted the story.
