When I was growing up, reading Robin Klein was a staple for me. I wish Audible would do People might hear you, and Games. Those two being some of my favourites. The narrator was reasonable here, but I must say I hated her version of Barry Hollis. I never imagined his voice sounding so harsh and I knew plenty of Barry Hollis’. It spoiled the story.

Erica Yurken is still one of favourite characters. She's wonderfully drawn. I loved reading this book in the 80s and really enjoyed rediscovering it.
