Alma Svendsen på Katholt, der var mor til Emil, skrev alle hans skarnsstreger op i blå stilebøger, som hun gemte i sin kommodeskuffe. Til sidst var skuffen så propfuld af stilebøger, at man næsten ikke kunne trække den ud. Der var altid en af dem, der blev krøllet og kom i klemme. Men de ligger i den gamle kommode den dag i dag, alle de blå stilebøger på nær tre, som Emil forsøgte at sælge til lærerinden i søndagsskolen engang, han skulle bruge nogle penge. Da hun ikke ville købe dem lavede han papirsbåde af dem og lod dem sejle ned ad Katholtbækken, og siden er der ingen, der har set dem.
