 "ઇ .સ.૧૯૧૨ની ૧૫ એપ્રિલે 'ટાઇટાનીક' , બ્રિટીશ લક્ઝુરીયસ સ્ટીમરે તેની પ્રથમ જ દરિયાઇ સફરમાં આઇસબર્ગ સાથેના ભયંકર અકસ્માતમાં નોર્થ એટલાન્ટિક મહાસાગરમાં જળસમાધિ લીધી હતી .એમાં ૨૨૪૦ મુસાફરો હતા .એમાંથી અસંખ્ય મુસાફરોએ સાગરમાં સોડ તાણી હતી. એ ધટના પરથી ઘણા પુસ્તકો , લેખો લખાયા.ફિલ્મ્સ પણ બની .૧૯૯૭માં બનેલી 'ટાઇટાનિક' ફિલ્મ ઘણી લોકપ્રિય થઇ હતી . આપણે ત્યાં પણ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર સાગરકાંઠે આવી જ ધટના ઘટી હતી .નવી નક્કોર આગબોટ ,નામ એસ.એસ.વેટરના.પણ જાણીતી 'વિજળી'ને નામે થઇ . કારણકે હિંદી મહાસાગરમાં ફરતી આગબોટોમાં વિજળીનાં દીવા સાથેની આ પહેલી જ આગબોટ .એનો નાખુદા હાજી કાસમ . 'વિજળી' ગ્લાસગોથી કરાંચી જવાની હતી .આ આગબોટ વિજળીને લીધે એટલી પ્રસિધ્ધ થઇ ગઇ હતી કે બંદરે બંદરે મુસાંફરો નોંધાયા,એ મુંબઇનાં બારામાં આવે ત્યારે એને જોવાની બે આનાની ટિકીટો ૨૦ હજાર જેટલી વેંચાઇ ગઇ હતી .તેર લગનની જાન ,પીઠી ચોળેલા વરરાજા અને ૧૬૦૦ મુસાફરોનો કાફલો લઇ પોરબંદર પહોંચી પણ વિજળી દરિયાની રાણી છે એને શું થવાનું છે એ ગુમાનમાં એ તોફાન પર સવાર થઇ નીકળી ગઇ .પણ પેરબંદરથી એ ગઇ એ ગઇ .ભયંકર દરિયાઇ તોફાનમાં વિજળીએ મુસાફરો ,કોડભર્યા વરરાજાઓ અને જાનૈયા સહિત જળસમાધિ લીંધી. સૌરાષ્ટ્રનાં ઘરેઘરમાં જાણીતી આ ઘટનાના ઇતિહાસનું સંશોધન કરી એમાં પ્રેમશૌર્યનાં મેઘધનુષી રંગ પૂરી આચાર્યે અત્યંત રસભર વવલકથા લખી છે .એનું પ્રસિંધ્ધ્ લોકગીત આજે ય ગવાય છે હાજી કાસમ તારી વિજળી રે! મધ દરિયે વેરણ થઇ ."©2022 Storyside IN (P)2022 Storyside IN African American Mystery
