So disappointed
What disappointed you about HBR Guide to Project Management?
I stopped listening after chapter 9. The content is between 15-20 years old, even though the audible site says that published in 2015. Through the first 9 chapters, it repeatedly cites studies from 1999-2003
What could Harvard Business Review have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Throw it in the garbage and produce something relevant to 2012-2017
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
No

Good for a general overview
The audible version is great for a quick overall overview on project management. It covers all its phases and provides tools and methodologies on how to handle certain scenarios. I think is a good beginning before moving to a more comprehensive and detailed PM book.

Helpful introduction, but with inconsistencies
Although the compilation covers a wide variety of topics and terminology in an organized manner, it regularly contradicts itself between chapters, and at times suggests things that have been flat out proven wrong. (i.e. suggesting doubling a project's resources would allow a project to finish twice as fast). Wouldn't recommend to anyone other than those brand new to PMing concepts.

Some good nuggets
This multi-guide audiobook is adapted from previously published HBR guides. As a current practitioner, I've learned a few nice tips that I could implement right away. As is normal with HBR PM guides, they follow general lessons, rather than PMI standards.
