An Okay book
To be sure, this book is as described - A collection of articles. It's... okay. While there are a few points I thought interesting, much of it was been there, done that. In addition, as another reviewer mentioned, some of it is even painful to endure with the verbosity of some instructions. Perhaps just a side effect of an audio book. Yet, there are some articles that felt like they were from the 1980s providing ancient advice.

A compilation of short articles
This not my first HBR book but the first time I was asking myself 'what I am paying for, the HBR brand label?' The information may be useful for someone who has never thought where their time is going. And there are a lot lot of references to books by well known authors as well as references to web sites and blogs. The latter actually make some pieces intolerable to listen: 'go dash to dash this dash site dot si ou em dash. [authors] name dash surname dash...' something you would skip instantly if reading. You will also learn all the credentials of the article authors. But too little on 'the right work' I was hoping to get another insight about after reading the introduction. The narrator is not very suitable to this genre either. This is of course my subjective judgement :)
