Este hecho condujo a un salto cuantitativo y cualitativo del movimiento obrero a escala internacional sin olvidar el surgimiento del fenómeno del imperialismo, del dominio colonial de las potencias europeas sobre Asia y África. Así, Occidente comenzó a alcanzar un cenit económico y de prevalencia cultural sobre el resto del mundo que, sin embargo, pronto entró en crisis.
