Fanno da sfondo a una tangibile commozione la solennità e il lutto, ma l'incrociatore Viribus Unitis sta simbolicamente a dire che c'è dell'altro; alla pietà per i defunti già va a braccetto il desiderio di vendetta, un sentimento primitivo che si annida dove non te lo aspetteresti: in società ormai moderne e solo apparentemente fedeli all'idea del progresso.
