Publisher's Summary

In Great Lives: Esther, Dr. Swindoll delves into the real-life story of Queen Esther showing how the qualities that empowered her godly life are available for every Christian.

Everyone loves a transformation story. Rags to riches. Plain to beautiful. Weak to strong. Esther's story is that, but it is much more. It is the account of God working mightily in one life and how godly attributes like courage, dignity, wisdom, and strength can thwart evil and replace terror with joy.

Chuck Swindoll celebrates the story of Esther and reveals how every Christian can live a transformation story.

Too Choppy and Opinionated

I just wanted to hear about the history of Esther but instead I get the author's point of view interrupting everytime I think he's finally getting into the story. I can't even finish listening to it because it's so annoying.

Esther a woman of strength

I have previously listened to this book of Esther read by the author, Charles Swindoll.
I have not found the original recording for purchase. I had listened to the Cd's over and over on the local library copy.
This audible recording was nice but not one I would repeatedly listen to.

narrator

This good book was written in the first person by a man. Why was a woman chosen as a narrator, it was clumsy and confusing.

The is a great path for all of us

Strong reminder that God leads at all times. We can embrace His leadership and then lose the benefit of deepening our trust in the ALMIGHTY. He alone controls the future. A great guide for life!

Wonderful book

Brought out things about The story of Esther I didn’t know. Made me think about related matters in a whole new light. Utterly relatable & gave me points to think about as I teach this story to my children. I will never be the same after listening to this book. Loved playing it in the car & anyone riding with me (including my children) were able to jump in at any time & follow the message. Well done 🙏🏽

An Amazing Story

This was an incredible and easy to understand story of how one woman saved the Jewish nation.
It was narrated with lessons to be gleaned from the story, with my favorite of creating an event to be remembered by me with joy and happiness.
