Irving und wie er die Welt sieht

"Gottes Werk und Teufels Beitrag" ist fast schon ein geflügeltes Wort, beschreibt es doch das moralische Paradox, um das es in dem großen Roman von John Irving geht: Geburt versus Abtreibung. Über die Geschichte des Waisenjungen Homer Wells, der partout im Waisenhaus bleiben will, braucht man nicht mehr viel erzählen. Nur eins soll hier gesagt sein: Wer sich für die verschrobenen Charaktere Irvings begeistert und am liebsten im Hotel New Hampshire einziehen möchte, muss diese Erzählung unbedingt anhören!
