Story
In the aftermath of the pandemic, even those who have never struggled with mental health have found themselves reeling, looking for answers they don't know how to find. For Christians, especially those who've despaired of help from a church that has too often stigmatized poor mental health as a lack of faith, the way forward can be particularly difficult to see. Jonathon Seidl aims to fix that. Having fought his own way through crippling anxiety, life-altering OCD, and suicidal thoughts, he knows the value of concrete advice grounded in strong biblical truth.

Publisher's Summary
Unlock the force of hope in life's hardest fights.
Good Catastrophe is your blueprint for finding your way out of pain. It is an atypical, no-holds-barred message of redemptive hope that will breathe new sunshine into your soul.
We need to rebrand hope. The era of everything in our lives fitting neatly in a box is done. That world is over. We need hope—but we need a hope that is robust enough to speak to real life.
Imagine the tide turning on your greatest challenges and problems. In a gritty and unique take on the story of Job, Benjamin Windle shows that flourishing does not come from a life devoid of loneliness, trauma, and anxiety. It's one lived with hope engineered for adversity.
Along with Job's story, he pulls from J. R. R. Tolkien's fascinating concept of "eucatastrophe," showing that your greatest good starts at your point of deepest pain. True hope is not hype. It's not pretending that everything is fine. Hardship, not perfection, is the starting point of hope.
Discover the secret to weathering life's storms, learn how to rise above daily imperfections, find out how to survive crises and come out better, and gain an ultimate perspective on every challenge you face in life.

Emotional yet encouraging
I have been waiting for the release of this book by Benjamin Windle and it really exceeded my expectations.
I was not expecting for me to get so emotional with the loss of his brother, yet in that I gained a whole new level of respect to Benjamin for his resilience and profound hope.
Thank you, Benjamin, for giving me a new perspective on hope. Know that someday you and your brother will meet again, and you will never be separated again. But until then, keep pushing and persevering to promote hope. You, your family, your brother, and his family are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Frank
