Ergänzt werden die Gedichte, Balladen, Elegien mit Auszügen aus Briefen und Tagebuchnotizen. Dies gibt einen höchst interessanten Blick auf die denkwürdige Zuneigung, in welcher die beiden Dichtergiganten miteinander verbunden waren.
