Plenty of interesting and surprising takeaways

I've been vegan for over four years and wasn't expecting to learn much new, but I did. This book goes through all of the main issues starting with health and then following up with animal welfare and environmental issues. It follows a nice easy pace and is easy-to-understand and leaves the listener with some new ideas and arguments.

Things I liked:

- I'm not religious myself, but I was very pleased to hear the quote from the bible. Many meat-eaters use the "dominion over the animals" argument and it was nice to hear a passage from the bible that at least countered that.

- I learned new things from the acidy and alkaline section, which was nice.

- The animal cruelty section is very good. The balance is just about right. It gives you an insight into the way farmed animals are treated without getting too graphic.

All in all a very good listen, that I'm happy to recommend.

Healing Through A Vegan Diet

After listening and reading many books on how to heal my autoimmune disease, this audio book helped me get on the path to recovery. This audio book is everything you need to learn about a vegan lifestyle, plus if you are battling a disease it helps you to get on the path to healing. I am so happy I have this download because when I feel myself falling off the wagon with my diet, this audio book gets me back on track! I highly recommend this audio book!!!

Wonderful Book!

I am nowhere near a vegan (yet) but this book really was an eye opening for me. It is very attention grabbing, and by far the most persuasive intro on veganism I've found. The book made me take a good look at what I was eating. Love the ease of the message. The narrate was very good - nice and clear.
If you are vegan-curious, this book will change your life in a way that you will be exploring more ways to nourish your body and soul. I think this is a book all people should listen to and highly recommend it. 😍

Interesting

This is a short introduction to the vegan lifestyle. This audiobook is an eye opening to the harm to the animals and the environment, if you aren't already aware about that. I would love to have more day to day tricks to apply this new lifestyle in my life. The narration is well done.

Enlightening!! A must read/listen!

💚 If you are a meat-eater and have an open mind, then give this a listen. I am myself a vegan for over a year now but this book took me far ahead with great motivation, information and tips. I loved the honest and passionate message in the book - I had numerous "A ha" moments while listening to the audiobook. If you truly want to be healthy and feel good about yourself, listen to this book and start making changes. You will feel great in comparison to how you felt before the listen.

P.S.: If I wasn't already vegan, I would have become vegan in the first 5 minutes of listening to this book.

Misinformation

When she started going in on the animal welfare, things were just made up. Cows and calves do not cry for weeks after separation. Calves are not inseminated at 2 months. That’s not even possible. They are at least 2 years. It’s clear this person has never been on any sort of dairy. Then, what really got me is the egg industry. Yes, not great. But she said that chickens are subjected to artificial insemination to keep producing eggs. THATS NOT HOW CHICKENS WORK. I stopped at this point. “Facts”.
