Impeccable Story...
You can't imagine a gentleman like this author ever knowing an earthly thing about the underbelly of life that this novel depicts, but his writing resounds with the tone of real people imbedding a real place in time. The story breathes you in and holds its breath as the tension mounts.
The language is both stark and deliciously detailed.
A good novelist needs three things, experience, observation, and imagination--any two of which, at times any one of which--can supply the lack of the other Greyson seems to have all three in spades. He has applied them and built, simply put a masterpiece..
A fabulous book, for sure, and well worth the price anyone pays for it!!

Glad when it was over
Any additional comments?
The story was sophomoric & too plodding to hold interest. The protagonist was likeable but was also a sloppy police detective. He seemed unprepared the majority of the time i.e. not bringing a gun etc. It may have had something to do with the narrator but listening to character Replacement's immature & frequent anger rants was stress-producing. I imagine the author felt it gave her "personality". It gave me a headache. So many good reviews - why?

This second audiobook in the series is much better than the first one. However, the story still seems it was written for the 14-18 year old groups. The narrator is better too.

By Far one of the best detective books
Where does Girl Jacked rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This has to be one of the best. The story line keeps you on your toes!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The way you would think you were about to figure out who had committed the crime, and then it changed!
Which scene was your favorite?
When his foster sister was in the bathroom and came out and saw Jack. It was very funny
Any additional comments?
I love this author! He is by far one of my favorites.
Also Love the Cop Kendra's name :)

Great character driven suspense mystery series!
Sometimes 5 stars are just not enough; Girl Jacked and the other novels in the Detective Jack Stratton mystery series deserve more than 5 stars! Jack Stratton lived in the whorehouse where is mother worked until he was age 7 when he entered the foster system and found a foster mother and foster siblings who became his real family. He joined the army with a foster brother only to see his brother killed causing him guilt and nightmares. At the time of this novel he is age 26 and has been a police officer for three years. Jack's care for and loyalty to his foster family is remarkable.
The other protagonist in this series is his foster sister Replacement (real name Alice) who is 7 years younger than Jack. Jack promised his dying foster mother he would take care of Alice. Replacement is about getting results; rules and laws hold no sway with her. She is also a computer hacker with excellent skills.
Girl Jacked is a serial murder case with on of Jack's and Replacement's foster sisters being one of those murdered. Author Christopher Greyson manages to write fast paced and light novels with characters so vivid that listeners/readers feel they personally know them. Andrew Tell's narration is superb.
I read Girl Jacked 2 years ago and just completed listening to the audio book. I've been reading crime mysteries for more than 60 years. Some series equal the Jack Stratton series, but none are better.

nice diversion
Christopher Greyson has penned a taught story with compelling elements, Iraq war vets, homeless kids with baggage made good and a missing girl. It all came together well delivered satisfactorily by Andrew Tell's narration. I enjoyed this story and will look for more from both Andrew Tell and Christopher Greyson. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Jack Stratton - Fast light easy listening mystery...
I've looked at the Jack Stratton series many times on Kindle and had hoped that the books would someday make it to Audible- Hallelujah! So glad two of them have so far.
These books Do Not have to be read in any particular order as each though part of a series is a stand alone.
This is a really good fast paced light mystery/thriller. Not too many characters so it's really not a difficult book to follow.
Jack is a 26 year old police officer with a real sense of family obligation even if only a foster family for a few years.
His foster brother died years earlier in Afghanistan (he feels guilty about that) and his 24 year old foster sister is missing from a college where she has a full scholarship so his foster mother sends another sibling to him for help. Add in a wacked out girlfriend and a landlady who's a little strange and let the wild ride begin.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Not bad
Not sure if I will try book #2 in this series. The main character, Jack, seems a little too immature. Did NOT like the nickname of "replacement" for Alice in this book. Got VERY tiresome and they should have reconciled that early in the book.
