It couldn't last forever
Bittersweet, another epic tale of chivalry and pageantry. Just as things are getting good disaster rips it all apart. This series adds a whole new perspective for me to Anglo-French relations. It's been entertaining and captivating.

fantastic story of a turbulent time in history.
well worth listening to the full series charting the adventures of Thimas Blackstone. A fictional hero up there with Uhtred of Bebbanberg.

A great book and amazing performance
I really recommend this for anyone with an interest in historical fiction. This novel takes a slightly darker tone which I enjoyed, and has some shocking twists and turns which leave you aching for more. The best book in the series so far, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!
