Lørdag den 29. oktober 1988 anmeldte en 54-årig mand til politiet i Køge, at han under en tur med sine hunde i Magleskov, der ligger ca 5 km nordvest for stationsbyen Borup, havde fundet et nedgravet lig.
Fundet viste sig at være liget (skeletdelene) af en yngre mand, der var blevet begravet nøgen i nogle plasticsække i skovbunden.
