  • Communicate effectively to defuse conflict
  • 'Unstick' an unmotivated son
  • Teach them to cope with loss and failure and how to recover
  • Help them foster healthy friendships and intimate relationships
  • Navigate technology and the digital world

all Dads need to listen to this

My wife suggested reading this book a while ago, but I found the audiobook most enlightening, as you get much more from Maggie reading it to you. An excellent reference book for all parents, especially Dads. It was particularly helpful in helping me understand my time growing up and how I react and respond to situations. Thanks Maggie!

Mothers of boys must read this book

If you are as lost in the wilderness with your son(s) as I am, then Maggie Dent is your guru. Her tips and guidance are wonderful. I have found her advice to be practical and loving.
There are a couple of editing mistakes in the book perhaps the sound guy missed but other than that, Maggie does a great job.

so much fantastic information. I started applying some of Maggie's advice already and have seen a big shift in my relationship with my son. I even got an unprompted hug!
