This book had me cracking up,

This book had me cracking up, I was expecting a dense dive into nihilism, what I got was an over view, counter balanced points, and a colorful history lesson. I had no idea Nietzsche had such a unique life, learning about the end of his life was shocking and learning about all points of nihilism was fascinating and well delivered.

Nietzsche is King

This is by far my favorite work by Nietzsche. Intriguing, and the Audible version is excellent.

Wonderful book!

I've been trying to read my way through Nietzche's works for a while now, and audiobooks have been the perfect format through which to do so. The Antichrist is one of Nietzche's best works, and I very much enjoyed this rendition of it.

Unlistenable

One of the greatest works of philosophical genius paired with narration best described as a caricature of a snoby old time accent on par with a cartoon voice over. For crying shame I couldn't listen for more than a minute.

Wow. Talk about looking through colored lenses

In over 20 hours of material, not one shred of evidence given as proof. Nietzsche's writings are the gospel of the narcissist, sociopaths, and the vain. To me, these writings are Nietzsche making excuses and justifications for his insane beliefs. This is Machiavelli on Steroids. If you can't have sympathy and empathy for others, you have no value to or for society.
This is very disturbing to even behold. This is a sick sick man. Even to me as an atheist, his arguments against the church seem very garbled and aimless.

This is an excellent audio of Nietzsche and summar

This is an excellent audio of Nietzsche and summary of his ground breaking philosophy. The author Richard Schacht really pulls it all together in this short but thorough overview of the first übermensch: Friedrich Nietzsche.

Enjoyable book if interested in Nietzche

Such an intriguing idea. I think I will let my siblings partner listen to it. They need to know that there are audiobooks like these out there.

This book sometimes wanders or talks outside

This book sometimes wanders or talks outside my comprehension and one moment I'm thinking "Wha --?" but in the next moments it abruptly displays such brilliance and virtuosity, some of the most brilliant things I've ever heard about art and culture and human motives and energies, I'm struck silent and agape. If it speaks to you, it will thunder.

Nietzsche is my goto philosopher.

Not my first time reading it. I like Nietzsche because he makes you look at yourself and asks how you can improve yourself.

This is a good general introduction

This is a good general introduction by a well respected Nietzsche scholar. Because Nietzsche's thought was so revolutionary, it is understandable that some might not be able to appreciate how important his insights were and are. The best next step, after this overview of his thought, is to spend time with Nietzsche's Twilight_of_the_Idols.

This does not really tackle much

This does not really tackle much of the actual philosophy Nietzche worked on. It's more about his life events and a biography rather than his academic work. Still worth a buy but with many caveats.

The final word is an absolute disgrace

The final word is an absolute disgrace and just about epitomized why the author was the wrong person to write the book. This said it is good for those people seasoned in Nietzsche to have this as part of the library as a counterweight to ones own confirmation bias.
