Learning seems back to front

First the reader speaks a paragraph and then translates the main words. However, she reads it quickly and I cannot quite follow. If she were to read it slowly the first time and then again after we have learnt the words it would be better. She only seems to translate the easier words but it is done in a way that I can learn them (if I don't already know them).

It is certainly hard work in the car and I would not want to listen for more than 45 minutes at a go.

I am also having great difficulty finding the attached material in Audible so I've logged in to the website to find it.

A good refresher

This audiobook brings me back to my fondest French basic classes where I easily fell in love with the language. This audiobook helps you understand conversational French by repetition and proper pronunciation of each word. I highly recommend this audiobook to both beginners and those who would like to review their French language skills. It is simply a delight to listen to and brush up on your Francais! Merci beaucoup!

Great Book - Just loved it !

What did you like most about French Short Stories for Beginners?

I took a stab at utilizing applications to learn French yet this book was the first occasion when I had an inclination that I could really talk some French effectively. The approach is great with the emphasis on utilizing the dialect and not on memorisation. I really loved the vocab recaps and different modes: Beginner and Advanced. I had to tune in to most parts twice, however appreciated the way toward ending up understanding it the second time.

Insightful and Straightforward!

What made the experience of listening to French Short Stories for Beginners the most enjoyable?

Bonjour! As a young traveler who has plans to visit France in the future but has absolutely zero French Language experience, French Short Stories for Beginners helped me familiarize myself with the basics of the French Language from a conversational, written, and even a little bit of historical perspective. The Vocabulary Recaps superbly serve as checkpoints to refresh a learners’ grasp on the newly introduced French words. Generally, this insightful audiobook is basically all you need to learn French straightforwardly. I recommend this audio book especially for beginners like me, and especially those who have a genuine interest to learn, speak, read, and eventually develop a command of the French Language.

An easy way to learn French

Any additional comments?

This audiobook is meant for those who already have a basic knowledge of French but need more practice to reinforce grammar and pronunciation. It is a convenient way to brush up on your French while on the go - in the car, on the train, bus, doing chores, etc. There are two levels: a slow mode for beginners and a more advanced mode. It's a great way to brush up your French and increase your vocabulary.

Nice audio book~ Simple and easy

I never formally study French, but only taught by my friend with some simple words.
This audio book covers wide range of vocab and has the option to read very slowly for a proper pronunciation for newbie like me. For me, stories are short enough that I would not get lost in the content half way; but long enough to demonstrate the application of words in a proper sentence. No burden of long and complicated grammar tasks. Nice material for beginners who are still picking up the language as a hobby.

Great for learning

French Short Stories For Beginners was a great book. As someone who hasn’t studied much French in recent years, I was a bit worried that I would struggle to comprehend this book. However, this book was extremely helpful from start to finish. The vocabulary recaps were a life saver, making it very to learn new phrases and words. The author speaks very clearly and at an appropriate pace, which made it easy to follow without getting bored. A great book for learning French, highly recommended!

A light and fun read!

What does Frederic Bibard and Mariem Nouni bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

A real life speech experience as opposed to just reading text.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, definitely!

Any additional comments?

For someone who is not too familiar with the French language before, I have very much enjoyed listening to the audio book! I have learned words that I could relate to and discovered interesting phrases. The sections were beautifully set out, and words were repeated over and over again as part of the different mini stories taking place. It could do with a bit of polishing in terms of editing, but overall a great read which I would highly recommend!
