About this listen

The intellectual foundation established by the Kalkiism Research Center in Nepal, composed of a team of 50 leading economists and 50 top medical professionals, has strongly advocated for free health care for all citizens in Nepal. Interestingly, this appears to be merely a byproduct of a cashless economy where all banks are owned by the government. Another byproduct is the eradication of the inhumane dowry system, which has long dehumanized half the population. A third benefit is the elimination of corruption. The concept of a cashless economy functions like an on-off switch: implement it, and corruption, which has spread like cancer throughout the public sphere, is effectively turned off.

The promises made during several people's revolutions have remained unfulfilled because corruption distorts every move and undermines all initiatives. Free health care and free education are issues significant enough to warrant a referendum. The people deserve the opportunity to choose. When such a referendum is organized, there will be no hiding place for the corrupt political class. The constitution of Nepal provides for such a referendum. The ruling parties must support this initiative or risk facing a revolution of unprecedented scale in Nepal's history.
