Amalie Langballe (f. 1992) er opvokset på Sydfyn i en familie, hvor faren var læge, og moren var syg. I dag bor hun i København. Hun er uddannet journalist fra Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole i Århus. forsvindingsnumre er hendes debutroman.
