Love the book.. it's not for soft hearted liberals
This is a good book..... not for those that are easily offended. The narration was definitely a disappointment. Dude....you need someone else narrating your books....and a good editor.... both have sucked.

Hard to sympathize with psycopaths
There were several glitches in the recording. Lines being repeated was common. Other than that, it was hard to identify with people that take casual joy in extreme cruelty. Our hero band was able to obtain all manner of hardware and weapons that would simply be unavailable or too expensive for the average person. It is as if they knew when and how TSHTF.

Oops, I did it again
Once again I bought a sequel thinking it would be better than the original book and was wrong. The writing in this sequel is the same as the first book and is full of the same mundane dialogue that drones on and on. I skipped through several of the early chapters of this book and didn't miss a thing.
To the book's credit, it did have a better plot and some action about 2/3 away through. However, I slowly became bored with so much blah, blah, blah.
My recommendation is to skip this book and start your next Apocalypse genre book elsewhere.
Narrator was Ok. I did not like some of the voices he used for the characters but that is my personal preference. He put forth a great effort.

awful
this book is disgusting, it's like the demented fantasy of a thirteen-year-old maladjusted hillbilly. They seem to find every sort of awesome weapon along the way like Sonic the Hedgehog pics of gold rings. this book is accepting of alternative lifestyles and the two main characters are trashy horny losers with no morality and lame jokes.
got to be the worst book ever by far.

The producer should be fired
The story was fine and the voice actor was fine; however, the producer should be fired. There were innumerable mistakes left in the performance that were meant to be edited out but they forgot. For instance, when the actor would pronounce a word incorrectly and so would go back and repeat the sentence they didn't take the original mistake out so you would hear the sentence twice. I've listened to hundreds of books and have never experienced this before.

Skips way to much
Hoping it was limited to the first book. But it wasn't, way too many reading errors.

Great book but...
the audio skipped hundreds of times. I've listened to a ton of books on Audible.com and this is the only one I've experienced that with. That being said, the author, narrator and story was great. It was what I've come to expect from this author. 2 👍👍

Woohooo speed-reader.
Recommend listening to this at 0.75 speed. The reader reads it like he's got a deadline whole time. At 0.75 speed it's actually more understandable.

Good storyline. Way too much offensive language
love the storyline, however, the prolific use of obscene language is a real turnoff. This book would be much better without all the profanity.

In need of body, less gear geeking
The story could of been well written. There is too much day dreaming about gear and fitness. It isn't realistic to most people.
