Still don't like Gildart Jackson's performance all that much when compared to other narrators, but the story in this one was excellent. So, still 5 stars.

Alex is stepping up in the last book and now he is owning his fate - good to see. What is worth living and dying for? He asks himself these questions as he works out the future he wants. It's great to se our hero take the lead. Good book

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I have loved the Alex Verus series. Trouble was i felt this book was simply more of the same. There was no real development of characters that I had seen in the pervious books.

Gildart Jackson narration was as always absolutely perfect,
