Still Enjoying

This is the third book in the series and I am enjoying the stories. They are easy to listen too and are not heavy. I would recommend you listen to them in order as the stories roll into each other. I am certainly addicted to these books.

Why? Just why?

Seriously, who thought a gang rape, PTS and anxiety disorders would be a great premise for a Romance novel?

Spoilers:
How did that meeting go with the publisher?
Author:
“Picture it a girl gets gang raped and left to die in a dumpster, only to survive and find out she’s pregnant by one of the 6 guys.” ! ... “ok so years later she falls in love with her childhood sweetheart but can’t be intimate with him without having flashbacks about the gang rape. Also she suffers from anxiety about being away from her son, but when she finally starts to relax, she’ll leave the boy with her fiancé and we can write a whole chapter about him not having a booster seat for the child to sit in and yet put him in the front seat of a sports car”
Publisher:
Wow what a great idea! Think about all those mothers out there wanting to have a little escape from life via a romance novel... who wouldn’t want to imagine themselves as this character!

Seriously, whoever gave the green light for this novel needs to transfer to a different department, your idea of what women want in their fantasy romance is light years away from this!

This series is about a BUNCH of runway females

I can not take women who don’t have back bone. Now this is a tough topic but this book is full with emotion inconsistency. I can’t go back and buy my family through this but I fine with putting a child through the same thing.

Good story, but not the best.

So it is very enjoyable, but so many loose ends and weird resolutions. Like Maddy is the main character who was violently attacked then ran away from her family and started a new life with her son. Two people adopted her until she was old enough to be an adult, and was eventually found by her true mate 7 years later. Her wolf part supposedly died and she was too embarrassed to return home. Now when she eventually goes home, several things go on, including telling her parents she was alive. Several events go on, she rescues a huge group of shifters, builds a house but no more communication with her family. Eventually she married her mate, but her whole family was too busy to attend...? I several sisters and her mom and dad, who worried every day and never lost hope that she was alive, couldn't make it to her wedding? Not that that was a huge part of the book, but it was weird. It was a good book though. Great narration!

AWFUL!

Madelyn Collier sneaks out to go to a concert with her friend when she is supposed to be grounded. After the concert they hook up with SIX STRANGE MEN & go drinking The friend leaves her with the SIX STRANGERS to go to the restroom & when the friend comes back Madelyn Collier & the SIX STRANGE MEN are no where to be found. THE SIX STRANGE MEN ABDUCTED, RAPED, BEAT & LEFT MADDY FOR DEAD IN A DUMPSTER. After being found in the dumpster & taken to the hospital, does Maddy reach out for her family? NOPE...She changes her name to Jane & goes to live with 2 MORE STRANGERS ,leaving her family to think that she's dead, She then discovers she's pregnant. Fast forward 8 years & Jane (Maddy),her son Oscar & her foster parents run into Liam Westin, her beast friends twin brother. & her true mate. After Liam takes her & Oscar home, she has one very brief conversation (days later) with her parents who have been grieving her loss for 8 years & when she married Liam, only her sister was at the wedding after 8 years of the family holding memorials for her. Really? In 8 hrs and 51 mins it seems that nobody thought to get Maddy some serious professional help for her trauma. They just left it up to 7 year old Oscar to take care of her until Liam showed up.Although there was other good stuff in this book that added to the story , I just couldn't get over the stupidity of drinking with 6 men that you just met. Even a teenager knows that's not a good idea..It seems in this series the women just keep getting dumber..

Once Lost and Now Found

Maddy Collier was best friends with Lilly Westin and Liam and she had secret crushes on each other. At 16 Maddy disappears affecting the Collier family and Westin’s...but suddenly Liam runs into a woman, 8 years later that he recognizes as Maddy (going by Jane), her young 7 yr old son Oscar, and ‘parents’.
A sad story of a poor decision by a 16 yr old Maddy leads to having her son, believing her wolf has died, and panic attacks.
I swear there nothing better than the mating males in this series, as Liam recognizes Maddy as his one true mate.
More complexities to the over all story surface in each story, drawing me forward to the next books...now I see I’m going to have to get the Collier series as well😊
The narrators were great and I loved Oscar’s voice by Carly Robbins..such a cutie!
On to the next book...this will be a series I will love to revisit from time to time
