High Angst, 4 Stars for John Solo bc He Sings :)

Mmmm, well it was high on the angst meter and nicely written. I would have preferred a different ending after all that drama, but we can't have everything. Makes me wonder what the entire work is like though so I still might have to investigate. As far as the audio goes, John Solo was lovely as always and he even sings in this one (and I always love that).

This was an absolutely beautiful story

I loved this beautiful story.. it was wonderfully written and I loved the characters, especially Edward. John Solo did an amazing job bringing the story to life and making me feel every emotion the characters felt.

if you like insta-love this book might be for you

Okay first let me say I'm a writer to so I know that most probably the author has put their heart and soul into this book. I respect that because I know how hard it is. however, I also know the value of a brutally honest review. So that is what this is. first the good: the book its was cute. ( or at least what I read of it) I loved the character of Edward. he's so sassy! I also appreciated how spicy its started out. now for the bad news: (for me personally ) the almost obsessive insta-love put me off immediately.the largely unrealistic "I know and accept he's my soulmate, although I've only just met him" thing makes me roll my eyes so hard! it it unfortunately for me makes the story hard to take seriously. thus, it was too difficult to get invested into the story and its characters! to be honest I got to chapter 7 before I skimmed to the end so because of that immersive difficulty. that being said however, if you are into the instant love trope and you don't mind apparently sad stories with happy endings then this book is for you!

very emotional

this book was interesting but hard to listen too at the end. it said it was a HEA book so I kept with it, but it's so emotional at the end the 5 min epilogue doesn't erase the emotional turmoil we were put through.

Painful schlock

Painful, over blown, teenage-girl soap opera angst with no redeeming qualities other than the ability to cause pained laughter and uncontrollable eye rolling. I listened to the end only as a form of self flagellation.
