About this listen

Anastacia "Ana" Gregory has never had a crush on anyone—except for a fictional vampire, Logan Lawson. Ana confesses her love to her parents, who are not best pleased.

Ana wonders why she is different from everyone else. With nowhere to turn to, Ana does some research online.

When Ana’s secret gets out at school, she is ostracized by the entire school. Only her best friend, Lewis Marsh, sticks by her. But Lewis is fighting with feelings of his own. When he confesses to Ana, she is confused and turns him down right away, but she feels like he deserves a chance.

Ana and Lewis go on several dates, but in Ana’s mind, no one compares to Logan. Ana does more research, and finds terms that fit her just right—asexual fictoromantic.

Lewis agrees to accompany Ana to a fan event where she would get the chance to meet the actor who plays Logan, if only to get closer to her. While there, Ana discovers that Logan’s actor isn’t anything like Logan at all. Lewis now thinks he’s got a chance with Ana. But Ana shuts him down once again, saying that her identity remains the same and she still loves Logan. Defeated, Lewis barely says a word to Ana the whole journey home. Is their friendship over?
