What a story. Hard to believe they managed. So much shame on the authorities in those days.

this story is fantastic. an incredible tribute to the family and absolutely incredible account of events that these young girls went through to get home. I've watched the movie and listening to the book was so much better, so detailed and so well written. this would have to be one of my favourite stories of all time. makes you appreciate the freedom we have and how much these girls fought for theirs and their family. awesome! 10/10, inspiring.

Wonderfully read. This is an amazing story of endurance, determination, knowledge of environment for survival. On the other hand it is also a story of history which is not complimentary. I learned much from this.
