Summary

Love, loyalty, and fate collide in the powerful final installment of The Firestone Academy series.

We’ve escaped the Demon wastelands to find even more danger lurks back home. The shadow weavers have been spinning elaborate webs of lies with the Empress controlling every single one of the threads.

She wants us dead and her secrets buried along with us. But I didn’t come this far to be silenced. I will reveal the truth even if it brings the walls of this realm crashing down around me.

And I will do it with the four men I love standing by my side. We’re going to fight for our happy ever after.

We’re going to fight with everything we’ve got.

Flame of Fortune by Hannah Haze was a mixed audiobook experience for me. I stayed invested because I enjoy this author’s worlds, but this instalment was harder work than I wanted it to be.

Brioney remained a difficult FMC for me to connect with. She is hot-headed, impulsive, and often creates chaos that others then have to clean up. By book five, I was hoping for more maturity and evolution.

Relationship-wise, I still felt the strongest pull toward Thorne. His dynamic with Brioney had the most depth, and after such a long slow burn I wanted far more payoff scenes with the two of them together.

The duet narration featured Brian Kozac and Ariel K. I generally enjoyed the male performance, though one character voice choice grated on me. The female narration was more challenging for my personal taste and made this a listen I needed to take breaks from.

If you are new to Hannah Haze audiobooks, I would personally point you first toward Arrow Hart Academy, which I found far stronger overall.

Strong Male Performances, Frustrating FMC, Mixed Final Result
