Out of the blue, a young Space Fleet officer's dream becomes reality: He's made captain of a starship. Just in time for the return of humanity's most terrible enemy, after 50 years of peace.

To survive against this enemy, Captain Tad Thatcher will have to do more than learn how to become an effective commander, or how to wrangle his wayward crew. He will need to reinvent space combat. From scratch.

We hope you like space battles. Buckle up for Spacers, the military sci-fi series you've been waiting for. Download this six-book box set today.

While the story is solid, the captain gets way too arrogant and rude for no reason. It causes the character to be annoying and obnoxious.

Good story

okay but way to much propaganda and kind of boring will try to finish it but is hard to do when you can't go very far befor they start saying something along the line as we love freedom becores we are American and is surprising when sombody other then an American support the ider of freedom.

but I'm sure if you are from the USA you will love this story

The neroreator is doing a very good job.

to much propaganda in my opinion

The attention to detail and charecters made for really original story and universe. I'm impressed with the science and use of history. Worth the chance really, I think they can keep this series interesting for a long time.

narrating was great aswell

Really enjoyed this series!

Throughly enjoyed the series so far. Great value as a box set.
Mark Boyett is a superb narrator and holds character very well.
Enjoyed the story with good characters and space opera drama. Only complaint is the marines use 21st century weapons ie RPG, 200 years in the future. I just thought this was very lazy on the author’s part. Technically a bit poor but still loved the story.

Great box set

I'll have to admit that when I started, it took a bit of willpower to get into the story.
My initial reticent can only be put down to a space faring adventure, that while listening, I was constantly comparing, even towards the end of the 6th book, though at a considerable lesser degree, to Weber's Honorverse. Probably not fair, but that's how it went down.
Once I got fully engaged, I enjoyed the story, plot elements, and drama. And I expect I will come back to the series in due course.

Quite entertaining and interesting

got halfway through part3 of set, where captain micromanager gets all whiney and I've had enough.

ok story

Terrible. Conservative American social commentary drips unavoidably from quite literally every, single, paragraph. Boyett does a good job performing here but there is nothing to recommend this D-grade science fiction given how much good content is available on Audible.

Hard avoid.

Terrible.
