Sie eröffnet ihm, dass er der Auserwählte sei, die Welt zu retten, da die Götter auf der letzten Konferenz von Lebabalb sich nur auf den kleinsten gemeinsamen Nenner hätten einigen können - auf ihn.
Boullion aber hält von all dem gar nichts, denn die Zeit drängt. Das Geld von den Tankstellenüberfällen ist aufgebraucht und der Bankraub am Vormittag ist ganz gewaltig in die Hose gegangen. Und zu allem Unglück muss Boullion bis zum Abend ein Schlagzeug aufgetrieben haben, denn nur so kann er seine geliebte Mina zurückerobern und vielleicht ja auch die Welt noch retten.
