Publisher's Summary

Movie star Jessica Lambert is in danger of burning out. Returning to London for the premiere of her latest film, she's recognized everywhere she goes. When she runs away through the streets of London, she's taken in by the beautiful and more mature Anna. The two hide in the sanctuary of Anna's roof-top flat, a haven away from the crowds, but why has Anna removed herself from the world?

As the two women get to know each other, stripping away the layers, both appreciate what each does for the other. This could be the start of something wonderful, more than either of them know.

Contains mature themes.

Best writer and narrator!!!

Wow! Amazing book! I loved it so much. Clare ashton is my favorite writer! I have been waiting for her books to be turned into audiobooks. Now I am impatiently waiting for books “Poppy jenkins” and “Goodmans” to be audiobooks! Ms. Baker is an amazing narrator! I enjoyed it so much!

Glad to find this stranger meet quirky story

Imperfectly perfect love story

Of course, they’re gorgeous, but that’s not what makes their story beautiful.

Looking forward to listening to more audible stories by this author. And narrator is excellent.

An Actual Adult Novel

OMG a actual adult writing with adult conversations and a great narrator who speaks in normal adult tones.
I was very surprised at how well this story is written. There’s a lot comedic lines and of course there’s some personal trauma too but everything was very well described and developed.

The descriptions of the pressures that famous people are under from constant media postings and the fact they cannot just go out in public without being mobbed by fans and constant photography gave me more respect for what some of our more popular actors go through on s daily basis.

It’s a long story but I never got bored and I liked that there was not s sudden ending. The story was described in a very vivid way that didn’t leave you confused.

I can’t imagine anyone who would not enjoy this well written book. Definitely worth a credit!

So Deliciously Soft

I absolutely loved this book. It was well written and narrated. I think this was my first Clare Ashton and my first time having the privilege of listening to a Gabrielle Baker narration. This book was low angst hi on all the feels and so very passionate. This book is so deliciously soft you will hate that it has to end. It’s a beautiful story of how love heals and how sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone can be super helpful to someone in need….and it could possibly lead to a wonderful relationship😉

Just as wonderful on audio!

As I was preparing to sit and write a review of this audiobook, I re-read my thoughts on the paperback. I was somewhat speechless and do believe it's the first and maybe only time that I loved a book so much I used the F word in my review. LOL
I feel EXACTLY the same way after listening to the audiobook! I wasn't 100 percent sure in the beginning how I was going to feel about the narration, but I adore an English accent and soon settled in to Gabrielle Baker's rhythm and performance of the work. If you're going to spend 14 hours listening to something, you need the right narrator and an incredible story. Check and check! This story is insightful, moving, funny, sweet, romantic, and sexy as hell. Baker had a nice variety of voices in her wheelhouse to bring these characters to life.
I was able to listen to this for free on Hoopla through my local library, and I loved it so much, I purchased it on Audible as well. I believe this is just Clare Ashton's second audiobook release and I hope people buy the hell out of it so we get more from this incredibly talented author! A must-own!

I loved Finding Jessica Lambert. What a beautiful story. Young movie star meets older stage actress and just WOW. Gabrielle Baker did an amazing job with the narration.

Excellent

I don’t often give five stars to a book or leave a review, but I felt this was necessary in the case of “Finding Jessica Lambert”.

I loved the well-rounded, likeable, but flawed characters (Penny a particular favourite), which were brought to life fantastically by the narration. I’ve listened to a few books read by Gabrielle Baker and this is the first time I have been truly wowed by her performance and lost in the characters and the story, thanks to the great material Clare Ashton has written.

All in all, an excellent listen and I will look out for more audiobooks written by Clare Ashton in the future.

Wow

This audio is bloody fantastic. What a story. It’s so well written and the anxiety and journey Jess and Anna go on is just beautiful. The narrator did a fabulous job and bringing the characters to life. If you love age gap romances you will love this. The dynamic between the MCs is gorgeous and their chemistry is off the charts. The supporting cast is entertaining and funny especially Penny. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it

Finding Lexa

Age gap romance + Clare Ashton = my favorite thing ever, a touching and warming tale of taking chances and believing in yourself, and others.
