About this listen
Movie star Jessica Lambert is in danger of burning out. Returning to London for the premiere of her latest film, she's recognized everywhere she goes. When she runs away through the streets of London, she's taken in by the beautiful and more mature Anna. The two hide in the sanctuary of Anna's roof-top flat, a haven away from the crowds, but why has Anna removed herself from the world?
As the two women get to know each other, stripping away the layers, both appreciate what each does for the other. This could be the start of something wonderful, more than either of them know.
Contains mature themes.

Loved the story - kept my interest (hard to do) for the full story weaving - thank you Clare Ashton
Loved the narration - sometimes English accent can be unappealing to me (my experience only i acknowledge) but this narration by Gabrielle Baker was lovely :)
I very much enjoyed this one !

I found the performance by Gabrielle Baker breathtaking. She gave each character a distinct flavour that seemed to perfectly fit the personality of that character. I felt I could hear the subtext behind the support character’s spoken words and had no difficulty discerning individuals in witty dialogues. And I appreciated the variety of accents. Simply amazing. I’ll be looking for more titles performed by Gabrielle Baker.
In this case, a superior performer has a superior plot and superior character development to explore and bring to life.
The main characters of course get their HEA and their journey is not straightforward. The many twists and turns, often caused by specific believable character traits, are emotive, sensitively portrayed and surprisingly credible. So many individual growth opportunities that aren’t always passed first time. The many examples of growing together and supporting each other through couple challenges and individual challenges are a treat.
I’ll be looking for more titles from Clare Ashton.
5 Stars. Enjoyable. Surprisingly Credible Age Gap Romance

Burnt out and stalked actress finds a helpful stranger on the tube.
There’s more to Finding Jessica Lambert than romance. The plot is multifaceted covering each of the MC’s issues individually and some spilling over onto the other. I appreciated that the story delved deeper into each MCs lives which enhanced the story, making it more interesting and entertaining. Like other Clare Ashton novels, the author highlighted the setting the story is set in and played to the setting’s strengths, showcasing its landmarks, celebrations and the people who live there.
