Publisher's Summary

Few have found this fabled city.

One final ingredient. With a mapped location and vials of Sanguine blood, Finch needs one last component to unlock the gateway to the lost city.

If only that didn’t mean returning to the place he despises most - Eris Island.

After learning his chances of escaping servitude are next to nil, Finch vows to find another out. And his only shot means chasing after his greatest enemy. Plus, a certain Goddess of Light won’t stop sticking her nose into his business...

Ryann realizes that Erebus sees her as collateral for coercing Finch—but, oh, how he underestimates her. She’s helped Finch before, and she’ll do everything in her human power to make sure he survives this mission. At the same time, she can’t continue keeping secrets from Adam. He’s the perfect boyfriend, but Finch… he’s the one who makes her feel most alive.

Too much build up so much let down

Can't say too much about it without spoilers, but this was way too much fluff and build up and then oh, get another book.

Enjoyed the Book,Poor Ending

I did enjoy the book overall. Still don't really care for the format used assigning each chapter a 1st person account of a character. That is just a personal preference. However,I was very disappointed in the way this particular book ended. It was as though the manuscript was sitting in front of the editors & they decided it was too long & needed to divided into 2 books. And so, like a deck of cards randomly split the manuscript into 2 piles. There should have been a little more forethought. I'm also finding the writing quality is struggling.

Love the books - with one comment

To the Narrator - I've heard the narrator mispronounce several words throughout the whole series, I'm not sure if it's deliberate or if its an honest mistake of not knowing how the word is pronounced. I have ignored it because I like the book series, but I find myself correcting the recording. Please - make sure to check the way the word is said before reading it. Its a personal pet peeve of mine and is rather distracting when listening to the books. Otherwise, I do find the books enjoyable, The characters are colorful and interesting. Thank you for your time. :) have a wonderful day!

Yet another captivating book!

The narrator, Amanda, as always is amazing! Bella Forrest never disappoints. The last sentence had me cracking up, just the fact that it ended with that. I was dying 🤣🤣🤣.
