Season two of this action-packed audio drama plunges listeners back into a ravaged world of violence and terror.
The hope of a better life forces the survivors of the Tower out into the dissolving world around them. The consequences of past battles leave them struggling not only with each other but the remaining fragments of humanity.
HE'S STILL POUTING
SHE DOESN'T GET IT
EVERYONE NEEDS TO GRIEVE
YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT
This second season is like most second books in a trilogy, just filler. We ended last season with the building on fire and our heroes under attack. The first half hour is taken up with the fight scene and putting out the fire. After that is all bickering and complaining. I understand that this is what would most likely happen in real life, but it does not make for interesting listening. The bickering and infighting along with everything that is explained in excruciating detailed, irritated the hell out of me. I also have to ask where are the Zombies? This is an apocalyptic story involving Zombies, right. In the first four episodes you can count the zombies on one hand. That is as far as I made it.
When zombies do appear they sound like Godzilla. The old Vietnam Vet sounds like The Thing of The Fantastic Four. Just a couple of things I realize once I got Irritable. Get season one, it is great, but skip season 2.

This book is so damn good, it should come with a warning. There's no way you can listen to the first season and not crave more.
The second season picks up right where the first one ended. The story gers better. New characters are introduced, and of course all the old favorites are back.
Best production EVER.

let me. first say that you will be BLOWN AWAY by the performances of the cast plus special effects. I'd give it more than 5 stars if possible.

It's different enough story from other books in the genre and realistic characters with both strengths and flaws great listen!

Zombies are a tertiary part of this story. Its mostly about the human/living characters struggles with each other. We still don't know the cause of the zombie outbreak, or how there are different kinds of zombies, ie; big zombies, small zombies, and then the zombies that can bellow so loud you hear them throughout the whole city. No clue where they came from or how they came to be.
If you can get past those minor annoyances, this is a really entertaining listen. I would recommend it to others.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have recommended this series to countless friends who waved it off and eventually purchased the audiobook only to complain how addictive it is. It's the best running series of zombie survival I have encountered.
What was one of the most memorable moments of We're Alive: A Story of Survival, the Second Season?
I don't want to spoil this but the story continues but there was a particular loss in this entry that touched me and made me hit pause briefly.
What about Blackstone Audiobooks’s performance did you like?
The cast, this cast is so under appreciated. The quality of the recording and the soundscape by Stone was phenomenal.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I actually have listened to this at work, at airports, on planes, on long drives. Even on the fourth listen I love it.
Any additional comments?
Looking forward to more work from K.C. and company.
it was like listening to a play on the radio. the group did an amazing job. sound effects were great and I can't stop listening to find out what happens next
For trained soldiers two, of the main characters are constantly in a panic & act very aggressively toward each other & the other survivors. They are always jockeying for the alpha dog position. Also, they snap at each other constantly. They are not very loyal when one of their 's falls behind.
Not as over the top great as the 1st season, but that is still miles ahead of anything else I've listened to of this nature. It's a little slower than the first year, but you get to know the characters better. Still 4 stars!
The action continues from where it exploded in season one and it keeps on going. Excellent audio drama production with a great voice acting cast. I am having a great time with this series.
I read a few negative reviews about this series but I enjoyed it.
It made a nice change from some of the other zombie books by having a couple of women characters in it who were more then 2 dimensional victims waiting to be raped or rescued by men - that does get a bit boring after a while!
The full cast format was also refreshing but there were times when it did get a bit hard to work out who was talking. Worth persisting though. It kept me listening; and now I'm going to use my last credit to buy season 3 :)
Best audio play on audible (can't call it a book) production quality is amazing.
