The New York Times best-selling author of the Fool's Gold romances invites you to visit Happily Inc., a wedding destination founded on a fairy tale.
Sculptor Nick Mitchell grew up in a family of artists and learned from his volatile father that passion leads only to pain. As he waits on a new commission, he takes a day job as a humble carpenter at a theme wedding venue. The job has its perks - mainly the venue's captivating owner, Pallas Saunders. Although he won't let love consume him, for ecstasy with an expiration date, he's all in.
Pallas adores Weddings in a Box. But if she can't turn the floundering business around, she'll have no choice but to cave to her domineering mother and trade taffeta for trust funds, working at the family's bank. Then when a desperate bride begs Pallas for something completely out of the box, her irresistible new hire inspires her. Nick knows she doesn't belong behind a desk, and she knows in her heart that he's right - where she really belongs is in his arms.
at times the narrator sounded like a robot. the pausing, the lack of punctuation at other times.. frustrating. I gave up.
I'll try the print version of this title.
I absolutely loved this story. It's my first Susan Mallery book but it certainly won't be my last. I loved the variety of characters introduced and the hints of a backstory you got from each one. I found myself disappointed when the characters were disappointed and excited when the characters were excited. This story completely sucked me in. It took me less than 4 days to finish this book and I'll be moving on to the second one tonight. Definitely worth the read/listen.

As a stand alone book, it’s an enjoyable read. As the first book in a series, it feels like another Fool’s Gold book. The somewhat quirky, small town with close friends and neighbors just moved to another location. The storyline and flow are the same. Any reader who enjoyed that series will enjoy this book. The continuation of the Mitchell brothers’ story was interesting and I look forward to learning more about how the family relationship develop. I think the initial characters are interesting and hope for more depth and intricacies as the series moves forward.
Definitely now my favorite Susan Mallery book. I have read a lot of her books but this one just seemed very rushed.
There are too many references to past storylines, making it difficult to follow the current storyline.
This bòoķ inspires you to believe that all is worth living and loving for ever
Love Pallas and her group of loyal friends - great storyline and characters. Can't wait for next release. Make me want to revisit the Fools Gold books while I await Second Chance Girl.
What made the experience of listening to You Say It First the most enjoyable?
Susan Mallery brings another town to life. You can picture yourself there. She first gave us Fools Gold and now Happily Inc.
What was one of the most memorable moments of You Say It First?
One of the most memorable moments is when she asks Nick to remove his shirt during the job interview. Who does that, even more who would do as he is asked?
What does Tanya Eby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Tanya Eby is one of the best. It wouldn't be a SM book without her. From the first word she brings you into the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Like all happily ever after books, you smile and the end. If you are looking for a book to just enjoy.
I know I can always count on Susan Mallery for a wonderful love story. The first in the Happily Inc. series delivers another great cast of characters and I look forward to reading all about them in the books to come. I love Pallas and Nick's story. They are down to earth, believable characters that grow into their own and each other. Tanya Eby does a great job with the narration, her easy going style along with great expression fitting the story well.
I love Tanya Eby. She's so good at reading different characters. She's one of the few readers that I get lost in. Every character is unique and I don't notice that she's reading the entire story. It feels like an actual conversation.
I love love LOVE Susan Mallery. I came across hey Fool's Gold series last year and listened to the entire series in just a couple weeks. I love that she crosses characters over from one book/series to another. I love that this book is different from Fool's Gold, but still feels like a resolution to that series.
Susan Mallery is such a fabulous writer. It's so hard to put her books down. If you love romance, a wonderful story teller and a plot to get lost in, then I definitely recommend this and any of her other books. Susan Mallery and Tanya Eby are a dynamic duo that hopefully stick together for a long time to come.
I think I am going to love the town Happily Inc as much as I love Fool's Gold.
