Lucas Barnett and Gabriel Stewart didn't have it easy as kids. They were only trying to deal with bad situations at home when they became lifelines for each other. Their pipe dream was to someday meet in LA, where Lucas would design skyscrapers, and Gabriel would learn to fly. A sweet angsty romance

An angsty romance. Gabe struggles with bipolar disorder, while Lucas has never forgiven himself for his alcoholic mother’s death. They supported each other online years ago but lost touch. This isn’t my favourite type of romance, but I appreciated the sensitive and sympathetic portrayal of mental illness and the realness of trying to rise above dysfunctional backgrounds.
