"It's like getting only the first 2 chapters of a book"

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the story appeared to be the beginning of a great detective novel and then it's just over. Only a beginning. No middle. No end.

"A short story with a stellar ending!"

The characters buildup was very good for a short one hour story line. I would have personally preferred a longer version but all the same this book address teen life at school about bullying.

    "Upsetting"

This book was just unsettling and seemed basic and undeveloped. I kept waiting for a twist but there was none, it was just a basic story about upsetting events, would not recommend.

    "*Death by Bullying*"

Ryan was barely 18 yr. old. He was good looking, popular, and likeable, yet he chose to end his own life. Why? This is the story of the dark undercurrents that run deep in our society, where the domineering seek to control, and destroy others for the feelings of power it weilds. This was a good read, but left me feeling as if the book ended in the middle of a chapter.

    "Interesting but very short."

I liked this book but it was so short that it felt like a beginning instead of a complete narrative.

Sorry, I personally don't like stories that just end abruptly. It's like the aurhor just gave up or got lazy.

This book was okay. I didn't think there was anything special about it and the ending was so fast to end. I feel like there needed to be a better ending. I think the author could have expanded the book a few chapters to explain a lot of things and I wish they would have. They could have ended it differently. I liked the Natasha character and I think she seemed very much like millennials nowadays. Maybe an alternate ending would be considered? Thanks.

Can't wait to find a full length novel by this new author. Great writing and tantalising story line. Very well read too.

Strange little story, feels like there should've been much more to it and I found the reading of it distracting, the different accents etc

Good story but a shame about the swearing. A tale about brothers, envy, girls and police work.

Very weak and very short story. Not really worth bothering with.
Narrator did a reasonable job but she was working with poor material.

"Good short story but slightly pointless?"

I have to admit I was totally gripped throughout but it fizzled away when it just seemed like listening to a short episode of Midsummer Murder - slightly inconclusive and may have been better as an actual novel.

    Story
    "Lacks pace; short and boring"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I didn't enjoy the story at all.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Surprise. It's sudden and feels unfinished.

What does Rachel Bavidge bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Good narrator with excellent character voices.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

Strange little short. Didn't warm to the central police characters who seemed unnatural and contrived. Other characters were undeveloped and no sense of drama or tension. All in all, an unpleasant subject matter (teenage suicide) handled without empathy.

    "Good Little Short Story"

An easy listen and kept me hooked. Listened to it while working out at the gym and it did what I wanted it to do. The story reminded me or a true event that happened not so long ago, until it got to a certain part. Nice little short story.
