Nineteen-year-old would-be feminist Iris Quinn hopes to carve out a successful career, but London in the 1970s is full of temptations, and a passionate clandestine affair threatens to destroy everything she believes in.
From glass slipper to glass ceilings via Glam Rock, Grease and Greenham Common, the destinies of two very different women and their families interweave across two decades, as Julia and Iris's quest for fulfillment begins to uncover the corrosive power of secrets.
This took a while to grab me but once the characters had become known I thoroughly enjoyed the story. On occasions rather far-fetched but I enjoyed it enough to download the sequel.
