Ancient Near East comes to life.

I love how the now extant writings of the ANE and Jewish history are helping us form a better understanding of the history of the human race. The author has dug deep and added literary color to this endeavor. An excellent book and series. Recommended for those who want to fill out their understanding of ancient history and its impact on humanity and who strive to understand the Bible better.
