A mostly good story
I struggled with the first few chapters and was tempted to stop but glad I kept going with it. The start was too slow and descriptive without much seeming to happen. I’d advise to persist through if you can.
The story had some touching moments and I started falling in love with some of the characters. A sign of a good story when you get invested in their future and start cheering for them.
One continually frustrating thing though was the main character’s constant wondering about others’ thoughts and feelings: just gets a bit tedious.

Harry’s Farm
Michael returned home to help his Grandfather on Seacliffe Farm, after his brother and mother died, while on holiday.
The farm is limping to its end with over-riding debt.
Cameron turned up, seeking shelter from a storm. He is escaping from his past.
Cameron became a worthwhile helper on the farm.
He was good with numbers. He sorted out the farms books and got them out of debt.
Michael and Cameron became a couple, which Harry, now close to 90, found difficult to accept.

Loved it!
Loved it! I loved the characters. And the ghosts were beautiful (never thought I'd say that!) The story was so sweet. I laughed, and cried, and laughed while crying.
If I was being picky I'd say there was a little too much exposition at the start, and the narration could've used a little better intonation. But all in all a fantastic read!
