Publisher's Summary

Welcome to Junebug Farms, a successful, well-known animal shelter in upstate New York, where every day brings something new - love, stress, heartbreak, warmth - and not just from the animals.

Catherine Gardner knows what it means to work hard. Growing up with little, it's pretty much all she's done for most of her life. As the bookkeeper for Junebug Farms, she handles the money. When Catherine finds herself undeniably attracted to Emily Breckenridge, daughter of the shelter's largest donor, it doesn't sit well with her. At all.

Emily Breckenridge has spent her life in the shadows of both her family's money and her brother, Clark. But when the reins of the family's charity foundation are taken from Clark and handed to Emily, it's her chance to shine on her own. Everything about Catherine Gardner is unexpected, from her emotional reserve to the crazy magnetic pull she has...one Emily can't seem to fight.

Love!!!

Georgia Beers never fails, and this book just adds to that fact! I lovers this book! The story, the patience of the character Emily, the jerk of a brother she had, and the delicate persona of Catherine. Mix in all the other characters and it made for a great story.
The narrator did such an amazing job with all the characters...it was like being a part of the story. Her voice for each character drew you in and drew a picture of the characters that Georgia laid out for the reader/listener. The affliction and emotion in Abby Craden's voice was so refreshing. It had me on the edge of my seat one minute and in tears the next...the emotion, the emotion, THE EMOTION she delivered was superb!!! Kudos to you Abby Craden!!! And to you Georgia thanks for the great stories!!

Another great one

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Georgia Beers always does such a great job. But dang, Abby Craden nailed it. I wish that I could give her more than 5 stars.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Run to You?

I loved that crossword puzzle moment.

Have you listened to any of Abby Craden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have and I think this one was my favorite.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was and I almost did. I had it just over 24 hours.

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this book.

Lesbian Pet Lovers Rejoice!

I first thought when buying this trio of books about an animal shelter with lesbian characters that it’d be a corny love story (romance novel) but after listening to this second one and tearing up during one or two of the scenes, I realized that I was believing these characters were real and their emotional trials were genuine. Georgia Beers has an unique way of telling a story with good characters, emotionally stirring and not just 2-sided.
Yes there’s a little raciness/sexual tension, but it doesn’t go one for more than one chapter. I’m looking forward to the last in this trip of books.

another hit

This was another hit and even better story then the first book. It was weird hearing a different voices of the other characters. And I suspect the 3rd book will except voices to have changed. But, nevertheless it was a really good story and Abby Craden brings out the authenticity of these characters. Her voice just draws you in and your laughing and crying with the characters. And keeps you gripped to the storyline till the end. You can never go wrong with a Georgia Beers story either!

Great book

The story was really good. well written, with a full ending. I won't say much about it because I tho k you should read it for yourself.
however. the only thing wrong with it... was that towards the end I was able to predict the actions of the main characters. but I'm glad it was only for a moment. it was rectified in the end...
So it well deserves the 5 stars.

Can't stop smiling

Lovely. Enjoyable characters, fun banter, well developed, just enough angst. I am now huge fan of Georgia Beers. I've listened to this trilogy backwards. While I love these characters, I'm looking forward to the next book.

Another great story and narration

Abby Craden is by far one of my favorite narrators. All her narrations are top notch and this one is no different. Couple it with a great story and you've got a great listen all around.
