Not MC Beaton’s Best

The previous book in this series was fantastic so I didn’t hesitate to buy the next but was disappointed. The male character is obvious who often looses his temper & treats the young female character terribly & the female bit annoying. The narrator isn’t able to give the characters enough change of tone to differentiate the characters.
