Publisher's Summary

Standing on the cliffs of 12th-century Ireland following the disappearance of his twin, Hoyt Mac Cionaoith is visited by the goddess Morrigan and is charged with the ultimate of tasks: saving his and all future worlds.

His enemy, the beautiful but deadly vampire queen Lilith, has had over 2,000 years of experience in cruelly killing and changing humans into one of her own - including Hoyt's brother, Cian.

Now, Hoyt, a sorcerer, must travel across the world and through time to find and train the five others Morrigan has prophesized will join him as a circle and do battle against Lilith's army of vampires on Samhain in the land of Geall.

But just who is the witch, the shape-changer, the scholar, the warrior and the vampire? How will this unlikely band of six prepare and become one with less than three months until the possible end of the world?

Following the arrival of Glenna Ward - a modern day witch with a knack for making her own kind of magic, the kind that makes his heart melt - Hoyt must find the strength to save the world, and a love that knows no bounds.

Complete the circle: listen to all three books in Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy, including Book 2, Dance of the Gods, and Book 3, Valley of Silence.

Story was ok but did not enjoy the narration

Not the best of Nora Roberts. Took me 5 attempts to get into the book. Story was week and narration even worse. Did not enjoy it.

Narrator did not do the Irish accents justice.

AUDIBLE REVIEW
Narrator did not do the Irish accents justice.
I was looking forward to listening to this series but unfortunately the narrator’s attempt at the Irish accent was so off-putting.
I did persevere but was concentrating more on the words that the inflections. A real pity.
BOOK REVIEW
One of my favourite trilogies, in my top five by this author and enjoyable to reread anytime.
I own both the paperback and kindle version of this series.
Another enthralling story from Ms Robert’s that gives you a great mix of characters, an entertaining and gripping plot that spans time and place.
This is about the fifth time of reading this series, the first time I had to wait impatiently for the next book to come out and nowadays I love not having to wait for the next instalment.
If you like to escape to a fantasy world of vampires, witches, Fae and those with special powers. Where a goddess protects and charges some to fight, where good versus evil, then you will enjoy this book.
The story continues throughout the three books with each book focusing on a couple.
No matter how many times I read these, I still get wet eyed and emotional at the end of book three.
I have reviewed these books previously but they seem to disappear when done from the back of a book. No hardship at all to reread.

Another wonderful story!

Nora Roberts talent really shines through with this story. It’s beautifully written and completely lured me in. Can’t wait to read the next two in the Circle trilogy!

Love this book

Initially I thought the narrator was a bit hectic! I don’t know if he calmed down or if I got used to him but it was great, worth a listen!

Good story bad recording

The series is good bad and the narrator does a good job with the different voices but the volume raises and drops so dramatically you either can't hear it or it blasts your ears. bad recording of the books. No volume control at all.

Exciting paranormal love story.

This book sets the scene for the following 2 stories in the trilogy. Flashes of humour amid an exciting adventure story. Excellent narration by Dick Hill. Look forward to the rest of the series. Nora Roberts shines in her trilogies.

Accents!

I’ve loved this series for years and it’s like reading it again for the 1st time, but the Irish accent takes some getting use to. So happy it’s an audible series now.

Awesome story

This is one of my favourite novels by Nora Roberts. I love the series and the plot is filled with human experiences:love, joy, tears, anguish, disgust, horror, and the strong bond of friendship. Naturally as this story has vampires you will expect blood and killing. But all the main characters - the protagonists - are amazing. Each has to grow and learn lessons. This story focuses on the witch and the sorcerer. But with winds the knot of friendship with the others. Loved the narrator as he brings the story alive. Fantastic 5 stars.
