Polarising - funny and frustrating
This was the second novel of the 3 part Scandalous Sisters series I listened to, and to be honest, I held off writing this review until I’d finished listening to the final book so as to give my brain a reprieve from further thoughts of Liberty.
Liberty is not my kind of people. With her callous hypocritical personality and OCD tenancies for propriety and manners (so obviously lacking), I found her difficult to tolerate. Right when there seemed to be moments when she’d redeem herself, she’d undermine herself with that smarmy vicious tongue of hers. In complete contrast, I adored Paul. He was a good egg with a great sense of humour and the patience of a saint. It was because of Paul and the hilarity of various scenes that I kept persisting until the end. If I had a dollar for every time I thought Liberty a {b****} I’d have enough coin to fill a wheelbarrow.
Nevertheless, Rose is a wonderful writer of this genre and the narrator was perfection. Despite <all of the above>, it really was a good story with some hearty laughs.

The 'heroine' was awful.
She was a selfish, sanctimonious hypocrite. She was not even redeemed by the ending.
