Publisher's Summary

To the children, the town was their whole world. To the adults, knowing better, Derry, Maine, was just their hometown: familiar, well ordered for the most part. A good place to live. It was the children who saw - and felt - what made Derry so horribly different.

In the storm drains, in the sewers, IT lurked, taking on the shape of every nightmare, each one's deepest dread. Sometimes IT reached up, seizing, tearing, killing....

The adults, knowing better, knew nothing. Time passed, and the children grew up, moved away. The horror of IT was deep buried, wrapped in forgetfulness. Until they were called back, once more to confront IT as IT stirred and coiled in the sullen depths of their memories, reaching up again to make their past nightmares a terrible present reality.

Steven Weber brings it to life

I've read this book twice, but the passion in Steven Weber's reading was amazing and added an extra dimension. Well done.

Best Narration I've Ever Heard

It was a long one, but so worth it. The narratir brought the story to life in a way that reading it myself never had before. He definitely clicks with King's style of writing. Absolutely spellbinding.

AMAZING

Read by an amazing and versatile voice, an absolute joy to listen to. It's the longest book I've ever listened to and I didn't want it to end!

It wasn't that scary but enjoyable

I liked it, this was hyped up for me a lot and I wish I hadn't seen the movies first because they spoil it but the book was still good.

Stephen King is a genius when it comes to storytelling.

Well written and well read but....

Listening became somewhat hard with all the explicit and ongoing repetitive explanation .... it became too much, to deep ,to listen... wanted , and had to switch off at times .... regroup and start listening again another day.... overall difficult but extremely good

Brilliant

Fantastic story with a depth hard to find. Excellent narrator.
Highly recommend this one but don't be surprised if you start looking over your shoulder for Pennywise!

Epic

Just an amazing story, Stephen King is a phenomenal author; and this is well up to his usual standard. Performance by Steven Weber was great.

Some very cringe worthy moments

Overall, a great experience... Albeit the ending was disappointing and there was one scene towards the end that made me fast forward. Soooo wrong. Look forward to seeing the movie!
