Creative, real and raw
An amazing story and perhaps a sad reflection on a society where the unjust thrive but a glimmer of hope for a better life thrives. Not sure if I liked the ending, but a great read..

A really good "what if"
Really enjoyed the glimpse into a possible Nazi controlled Europe. I particularly enjoyed the narration.

Great yarn
I first read Fatherland 25 years ago but had forgotten most of the story. Well worth listening to again though. The story is imaginative (and horrifying), the plotting is excellent and the pace picks up slowly but surely as the story progresses aided by Michael Jayston's brilliant narration. I changed the pace of the audio to 1.25 times normal speed towards the end and it really adds to the growing tension and menace of the final chapters.

What if the Nazi's got away with the holocaust?
A great idea for a novel. This book gives a bit of an insight into what a Nazi win would possibly have been like. It starts with a mysterious death, but soon gets mysterious and dangerous for March.
I was pleasantly surprised to explore the insight into the plot with a Germany that has hidden the holocuast from the world.
There were a few small strings that the author dangled but didn't expand on further, especially the outcome for the UK. I got my interest piqued, but he didn't expand on this which bothered me.
I would have really liked an epilogue.
