Dancing in the wind

Mary Jo Putney has written an engaging story of love, mystery and intrigue. As always with her writing ,the story was very well crafted and plotted. I liked how she intertwined real history within her plots. However the choice of narrator in William Kirby really let this book down for me. His voice is smooth but rarely left the same timbre and his timing for both punctuation and the authors’ emotional tension was virtually ignored or rushed. The female voices were poorly executed.
